Terms of Service

Effective Date: November 1, 2025

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using FixedFloat.ca (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Exchange Crypto service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FixedFloat.ca.

2. Service Overview

FixedFloat.ca provides cryptocurrency exchange services enabling users to Swap Crypto assets across multiple blockchain networks. Our services include:

  • Instant cryptocurrency swaps between 50+ digital assets
  • Lightning Network integration for rapid BTC transactions
  • Dual rate system: floating market rates and fixed locked rates
  • Multi-network support (Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BSC, and more)
  • No-registration, privacy-focused exchange platform

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts to use this Platform. By using our service to Exchange Crypto, you represent that you meet these requirements and that your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

4. Exchange Mechanics

4.1 Rate Types Explained

Floating Rates: Exchange rates are determined at transaction execution time based on current market conditions. The final amount you receive may differ from the initial estimate due to market fluctuations and liquidity variations.

Fixed Rates: Exchange rates are locked for a specified time window (typically 15-30 minutes). You must send your deposit within this period to receive the guaranteed rate. Expired fixed-rate transactions will be processed at the current floating rate or refunded.

4.2 Transaction Limits

Each trading pair has minimum and maximum transaction limits displayed before confirmation. Transactions below the minimum will be refunded (minus network fees). Transactions exceeding the maximum may be split, delayed, or rejected at our discretion.

4.3 Fees and Costs

Our service fee (typically 0.5% of transaction value) is clearly displayed before you confirm your Crypto Swap. Network fees (blockchain transaction costs) are additional and vary by network. All fees are deducted from the amount you receive. We reserve the right to adjust fees with reasonable notice.

5. User Obligations

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate cryptocurrency wallet addresses
  • Verify all transaction details before confirmation
  • Send the exact amount specified in your exchange order
  • Use only legally obtained cryptocurrencies
  • Not engage in money laundering, fraud, or illegal activities
  • Not attempt to manipulate rates or exploit system vulnerabilities
  • Not use the Platform for terrorist financing or sanctions evasion

6. Risks and Disclaimers

6.1 Cryptocurrency Risks

Cryptocurrency trading involves substantial risks including extreme price volatility, network congestion, smart contract vulnerabilities, and potential total loss of funds. You acknowledge these risks and agree that you use our Exchange platform entirely at your own risk.

6.2 No Financial Advice

FixedFloat.ca does not provide investment advice, financial planning, tax guidance, or trading recommendations. All information on our Platform is for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and their consequences.

6.3 Service Availability

While we strive for continuous availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our Crypto Swap service. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, blockchain network problems, or force majeure events. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.

8. Refunds and Dispute Resolution

Due to the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions, refunds are generally not possible once an exchange is executed. If you believe an error occurred in your transaction, contact our support team within 24 hours at support@fixedfloat.ca. We will investigate legitimate claims and resolve issues on a case-by-case basis.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FixedFloat.ca and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the service fees paid for the specific transaction in question.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FixedFloat.ca and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any laws or third-party rights.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Platform is governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect minimal data and operate on a privacy-first principle. No personal information or KYC is required to Exchange Crypto on our platform.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use of our service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Service Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, legal requirements, or any other reason at our sole discretion. You may discontinue using the service at any time without notice.
